How would you like to find out the future? While this tutorial can't quite help us predict the future, you will have a lot of fun training your language skills with the help of AI and tarot cards!

Exercises

1) Open Gemini: https://gemini.google.com/app

2) Not familiar with Tarot cards? Ask Gemini: "Before today's conversation, please give me a list of important tarot terms and the names of every tarot card in [LANGUAGE]. Format it as a table that I can export to Sheets."

💡 You can also ask the AI to add a column to your table with the images of every tarot card.

3) Start by asking Gemini to chat with you in your chosen language: "Please write to me in [LEVEL] [LANGUAGE] from now on." (add formality level if applicable)

Now try adding this prompt: "Let's pretend that you are a Tarot reader and I'm coming to you for a reading. Play a simple dialogue to start and help me ask you a question."

4) Ask the AI your question using the prompt below. You can ask your question in any language.

"[Question goes here.] Select a random card (in the Rider-Waite style) and show me a picture of it without further comments. Ask me three questions to describe it."

Continue your conversation by answering the AI's questions.

💡 Don't have a deck of cards? Prompt the AI by saying: "I don't have a deck, please select a card for me randomly."

5) Try this extra prompt to get language feedback: "After my description, please give me language feedback, but do not provide any additional information. Instead, ask me to give an interpretation so I can practice [LANGUAGE]."

6) Try asking the AI for its interpretation of the tarot card.
